20111stIEEEInternationalConferenceonSpatialDataMiningandGeographicalKnowledgeServices(ICSDM2011)willbeheldinconjunctionwiththe8thBeijingInternationalWorkshoponGeographicalInformationSystems(BJ-IWGIS2011)inFuzhoucity,P.R.ChinaJune29-July1,2011.ICSDMisaspiredtoestablishalong-termforumforresearchersandpractitionersingeosciencesandinformation&communicationtechnologytosharetheirinnovativeideasandresultsinthemulti-facetedresearchofspatialdatamining,geographicalmodeling,Internet-basedknowledgesharingandservice,anddecisionsupportundertheumbrellaofgeo-informationscienceandtechnology.BJ-IWGIS2011istheeighthforumofthissuccessfulseriesandwilltakeplaceforthefirsttimeoutsideBeijing.Theworkshopserieshaveprovidedinvaluableopportunitiesforscientists,GISdevelopersanduserstosharetheirnewfindings,ideas,andknowledgethroughpresentationsanddiscussions,andhasbecomeaconsiderablywellknowninternationalforuminthefieldofgeo-informationscienceandtechnologyinChina.
